More Women are Falling into Mental Depression due to Increased Marital Challenges, While Others are Suffering from Insomnia due to Long Prayer Sessions and Night Vigils to Find a Husband - Freeze Writes

What many Nigerians hope for in marriage vs what they really get.
According to Mr. Biodun Idowu, a psychiatrist at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Teaching Hospital, Osogbo, more women were falling into mental depression due to increased marital challenges.

Mr. Idowu, who made the assertion while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria in Osogbo, said “there are now more cases of women suffering from mental depression.

‘’Investigations point to the fact that many ladies are pressed to get married, while those married are struggling to keep their homes.

‘’There are cases of many of them suffering from insomnia due to long prayer sessions and night vigils".********* Now, in order to avoid sleepless nights, depression and using up an entire town's 'holy ghost fire' allocation on your family alone, I have made some recommendations from the small pool of experience I have gathered.

Every marriage has a 'load' and most times the woman ends up carrying it, uncomfortably on her head.

The load could be financial, sometimes its a cheating partner or physically abusive spouse, so no matter how sweet a marriage appears on the outside, the load is never absent. Identifying this load and understanding it while working together to overcome it makes it lighter.

Marriage is hardly ever the Union of a Saint and a virgin, rather, it's the coming together of two people ofttimes broken, but with the intention of working together to heal one another.

Many go into the union of marriage with high hopes, but when reality becomes inversely proportional to expectation, depression could set in.

People allergic to change also fine marriage rather frustrating, because marriage is an ever evolving establishment.

For the ones looking for admission into this institution of higher learning as well as the ones in their freshman or sophomore year, the secret is combining great understanding and mutual respect with tons of communication!

Finally, a big shout out to my top 5 entertainment couples, who in no particular order are:
