Government Should Deduct Tithes From Workers' Salaries And Forward To Church - Catholic Archbishop

Most Reverend Cyprian Kizito Lwanga, a Catholic Archbishop of Kampala, Uganda, has proposed that the central government deducts 10% from the monthly salaries of workers, and forward the deductions directly to the church.

He stated this at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Rubaga during mass, according to Citizen TV. He said non-payment of tithes affects project development in the church.

His words: "Whenever we ask for tithe, everyone gives only what they have at that time. But the Bible says a tenth of whatever you earn belongs to the church. Give me your support as I front this proposal because it is good for us.

In other to honour her mum who was reportedly banned from showing up at her wedding in Nigeria,Sharon Oyakhliome-Frimpong held another wedding within a month of marrying in Nigeria to honour her mum who lives in the UK.....

Timaya has spoken out for the first time about the REAL REASON he collected the car he gave Nollywood actress when they dated 2008 to 2009. Timaya had given Empress the car, but immediately they broke up, he demanded she returned the car.

It was even said back then that Empress refused, and Timaya had to send his boys to block her and forcefully recover the car. It was a blood fight back then that entertained their fans for several months as soft sell magazines kept on carrying their news in and out.

Liberia's President George Weah Declares Free Education In Public Universities

Liberian President, George Manneh Weah on Thursday declared that all undergraduates public entering universities across the country will enjoy free tuition.

“Today, I’m excited to announce that I have declared the University of Liberia and all other Public Universities in Liberia tuition free for all undergraduates,” Weah wrote on Facebook without giving any further details.

Reports indicate that he made the declaration before students of the University of Liberia at the Capitol Hill campus located in the capital Liberia. The announcement was met with loud cheers and applause.

IPOB Sacks Nnamdi Kanu As It's Leader For Being Insensitive And Callous

The Director of Strategy and Documentation of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Olisa Mbakwe on Monday announced that its leader, Nnamdi Kanu has been sacked from the group.

Mbakwe said Kanu was fired for placing more value on his dog than those murdered in the struggle for the realization of Biafra.

Speaking during Sunday’s broadcast from his base in Israel, Kanu mourned his dog and “a few other people” in his compound, who lost their lives when military men invaded the place in September 2017.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Lagos Zonal office, on Monday, October 22, 2018, arraigned a former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, alongside his company, Spotless Limited, before Justice Mojisola Olatoregun of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos on an 11-count charge bordering on fraud and money laundering to the tune of N2.2bn.

The former governor is facing trial in connection with N1.299 billion and $5.3 million allegedly allocated to him out of the N4.65 billion slush fund shared by the Office of the National Security Adviser, ONSA, through a former Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro.

When former Big Brother Africa star, Uti Nwachukwu, begged American superstar, Taraji Henson, popularly known as Cookie of Empire, for help online, Nigerians became furious and wondered what pushed him to do that.

Atiku Emerges PDP Presidential Candidate For 2019

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on Sunday emerged the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP for the 2019 presidential election.

He came top ahead of 11 other aspirants at the end of the party’s presidential nomination convention. He polled about 1,500 more than the combined votes of all the other aspirants. He was followed by Governor Aminu Tambuwal who polled 693 votes and Senate President Bukola Saraki who polled 317 votes.

2019 Election: With 14.8m Votes, APC Affirms Buhari As Its Presidential Flag-Bearer

President Buhari has been affirmed as the APC candidate for the 2019 presidential election. About 7,000 delegates affirmed the President as the party’s flagbearer at the APC’s national convention which was held at the Eagles Square in Abuja on Saturday.

The move comes eight days after the APC held its presidential primary in the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

At the convention, it was affirmed that President Buhari who was the sole aspirant in the race got 14,842,072 votes during the primary.

BBA Reality star, Pokello Refuses To Sign Divorce Papers

Reality star Pokello Nare, 32, is challenging divorce proceedings by estranged Ghanaian husband Elikem Kumordzie, it has emerged.

Kumordzie, 29, recently filed for divorce saying he had lost love and affection for Pokello, adding that their relationship was irreparably damaged.

Pokello filed a notice of intention to oppose the divorce petition last week on September 8, a day after she had been served with the summons.
